Combat

Over the last few months, combat has steadily sharpened with each new update—attacks are snappier, evades flow smoother, and Classes have gained a few slick moves. In this update, we’re thrilled to introduce universal Jump Cancels, no longer limited to specific attacks! This long-awaited change clears old hurdles and opens a whole new realm of combos and strategies. While we’ll keep tweaking it over time, Jump Cancels are already in a great place. So dive in, leap into action, and enjoy the newfound freedom as you carve your path to victory!

General

Jump Cancels

  • Universally enabled Jump Cancels for all Classes from most attacks. This works similarly to the rules for Evade Cancels. If you are able to Evade Cancel an attack then you should be able to Jump Cancel it.
  • It is now possible to Jump Cancel in any direction. For moves that had the old version of Jump Cancels, you were actually limited to jumping in a very specific way. This is no longer a limitation and should make jump cancels feel more intuitive.

Jump

  • Jump now carries your momentum in ways that feel more natural than before. You may notice that your jumps will go a bit further now when moving quickly.

Bees

  • Aces are now properly cleansed of Bees when using a Healing Shrine.

Classes

Sentinel

  • Fixed an issue that caused Steady Strikes to not Block Break enemies as expected. This should now work consistently for all hits.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Evade/Dash Attacks to not trigger properly with Goji’s Echo equipped.

Pyroclast

  • Fixed an issue that caused Blazing Roar to not Block Break enemies as expected. This should now work consistently for all hits.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Evade/Dash Attacks to not trigger properly with Goji’s Echo equipped.

Rockbreaker

  • Powderkeg Punch: Performing Combo Finishers increases charge speed of Powerderkeg Punch by about 20%. This buff lasts for 25 seconds and stacks with each Combo Finisher performed.
  • Improved visual of skyward swing vortex.
  • Allowing players to rotate near the end of Skyward Swing.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Evade/Dash Attacks to not trigger properly with Goji’s Echo equipped.

Shadowstriker

  • Fixed an issue that caused Lightning Step and Silver Strikes to not Block Break enemies as expected. This should now work consistently for all hits.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Class Mechanic to whiff against grounded enemies.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Shooting Stars to not hit grounded enemies properly.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Evade/Dash Attacks to not trigger properly with Goji’s Echo equipped.

Enemies

For this update, the changes to enemies really revolve around quality of life improvements for the player. The most significant change centers around Pangojira, which will increase the challenge of this Boss in some pretty significant ways. Let us know how it feels!
