Towerborne is Steam Deck ‘Playable’

Steam Deck title card.

Hey Aces —

Grab your backpacks and portable power banks! In case you missed it, Towerborne recently reached a nifty new milestone: we’re officially Steam Deck Playable!

What does Steam Deck “Playable” mean? Great question! It means we’ve passed Steam’s rigorous checks, confirming that Towerborne runs smoothly on the Steam Deck. While the game performs well, you might need to tweak a few settings or customize controls to achieve your ideal gameplay experience—so adventure-on-the-go is fully within reach, with just a little personalization.

What’s the next milestone? “Steam Deck Verified.” We’re not quite there yet, but here’s exactly what that means:Steam Deck Verified means games work perfectly, straight out of the box, with zero fiddling required. Whereas, Steam Deck Playable means the game runs well, but you might need to tweak a few settings or controls to get that ideal gameplay experience.

While gameplay feels good, certain UI elements, like text size, may appear small on the Steam Deck screen. We’re actively working on font scaling improvements to make sure everything looks great and is easily readable…even on smaller screens.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted on our road to obtaining that coveted Verified badge. Until then, the Wilds have officially gone mobile…so get out there and brawl bravely on a bus, loot lavishly as you lounge, or crush your combos comfortably from the couch!

Stay legendary, wherever you roam.
