Hello Aces and adventurers, and welcome!
Today we continue our look at the various weapon types in Towerborne. We’ve already looked at Sword & Shield and Warclub. Today we talk about Gauntlets, a unique take on a pure melee style!
Weapon Fantasy:
- Mostly Single-Target focus
- Power Fantasy that relies on Enders and Specials
- Focuses on Ground Combos
Gauntlets are higher-skill weapons with a mix of slow and fast attacks focusing on single-target damage. Although it doesn’t quite reach the heights of the Warclub’s single-hit damage potential, Gauntlets can output significant sustained damage if Aces are able to consistently complete combos and execute Focus Skills intelligently.
This weapon is all about strategically completing combos for big Ender damage while mixing in well-timed Focus Skills.
The Gauntlets have a unique Weapon Mechanic whereby the Ace can hold the Weapon Meter button to charge up for an incredible Powder Keg Punch attack.
While charging the Weapon Meter attack, at any level, the Ace is vulnerable to enemy retaliation.
If they execute it correctly, the result is a devastating high-damage attack.
Now, let’s take a look at 3 Focus Skills of the Gauntlets.
Why make it complicated? Sometimes you just need one big punch to deal serious damage to your primary target and set them up for big aerial combo damage.
- Single-Target Big Damage
- Launches Enemy
The quintessential ground pound maneuver. Surrounded? In danger? Laugh while you unleash a series of earth-shattering ground punches, knocking enemies up into the air for a post-skill aerial combo opportunity.
- Launches Enemies
- Large 360° Area of Effect
When you’re pure melee, it always helps to have a defensive maneuver that punishes the aggressive foe. This one is a parry ability that prevents damage and strengthens the Ace for a period of time.
- Parry Incoming Attacks
- Temporarily Buff Player Damage
That’s just a few of the big flashy moves you can execute with the Gauntlets, and we’re sure you’re going to enjoy the others just as much!
Until next time,
Farewell and fight well, Aces!
